Phenex
Pheynix · Phoenix

A phoenix, with a child's sweet voice.
A marvellous poet, speaking excellently of all sciences, willing to perform the exorcist's requests.
The exorcist is warned not to heed his sweet singing but to compel him into human shape. Like Marchosias, he hopes to return to the Seventh Throne after 1,200 years.
The wiki counts Phenex among the former Thrones and, unusually for a Goetic spirit, rates him as good-natured rather than evil — one of the few fallen still hoping to regain the seventh throne of Heaven. He is identified outright with the phoenix of legend, and all twenty commanders of his legions are given personal names.
The Chronicle
Phenex is a Great Marquis of Hell and has twenty legions of demons under his command. Phenex hopes to return to Heaven after 1,200 years, but he is deceived in this hope.
Description
He is depicted as a phoenix, which sings sweet notes with the voice of a child, but the conjurer must warn his companions (for he has not to be alone) not to hear them and ask him to put in human shape, which the demon supposedly does after a certain amount of time.
He teaches all wonderful sciences, is an excellent poet, and is very obedient to the conjurer. He has 20 legions of demons with the leaders of the 20 legions serving under Phenex being named.
The Pseudomonarchia Daemonum
"Phoenix is a great marquesse, appearing like the bird Phoenix, having a child's voice: but before he standeth still before the conjuror, he singeth manie sweet notes. Then the exorcist with his companions must beware he give no eare to the melodie, but must by and by bid him put on humane shape; then will he speake marvellouslie of all wonderfull sciences. He is an excellent poet, and obedient, he hopeth to returne to the seventh throne after a thousand two hundredth yeares, and governeth twentie legions."
Phenex sings with a child's voice. Do not linger listening — that is how he gathers those who stay.
