Marax
Morax · Foraii

A great bull with a man's face.
Teaches astronomy and the liberal sciences, knows the virtues of herbs and stones, and gives wise familiars.
Manuscripts waver between Marax, Morax and Foraii — a textbook case of how copyists corrupted demonic names.
His appearance suggests Morax was of the Cherubim before his fall. He can take the form of a woman dressed as ancient Egyptian nobility, and some identify him with the goddess Ma'at; his bull-headed form is believed to have moved the Egyptians to revere him as a deity. That same shape is said to have inspired the legend of the Minotaur, and it has even been proposed that Morax is the Minotaur Dante meets in the Inferno of the Divine Comedy.
Marax gives wise familiars. They report to more than one master.
