Andrealphus

Androalphus

Seal of the spirit — Andrealphus
Seal of the spirit
Appears as

A peacock with a great noise at first, then a man's shape.

Office

Teaches geometry perfectly and all that pertains to measurement, as well as astronomy, and can transform a man into the likeness of a bird.

Notes

Perfect geometry plus bird-transformation — the peacock form is a rare case where a spirit's shape rhymes with his gift.

Apocrypha

In Heaven Andrealphus belonged to Lucifer's order of angels charged with composing great music, which the wiki offers as the root of his link to noise and sound; after the fall he came to head one of Hell's musical choirs, whose legions sing the glory of Lucifer and Satan. The wiki identifies him with Adramelech and notes that some listings place him as the 54th spirit. One legend has him conjured in Venice by the head of the Illuminati to sow discord and hatred along the path of the Four Horsemen.

The Chronicle

Andrealphus.
The craftmanship of deception is an art mortals have established to save themselves from facing shame. Even if I were to teach you the means to speak falsely, my skills would never compare to a mortal in the end. That is the extent you fleshes born-from-soil are willing to put in order to uphold your image and reputation.— Andrealphus

Andrealphus, Androalphus and Adramelech, appears as the 54th demon in the Goetia and is described as a great Marquis.

Description

Andrealphus is one of the more pleasantly viewable demons as has the appearance of a Peacock who raises great noises and teaches cunning in astronomy, and when in human form also teaches geometry in a perfect manner. He is also described as ruling over thirty legions and as having the ability to turn any man into a bird.

Andrealphus also appears as the 65th demon in the Goetia where he is described with similar traits, but also including the ability to make men subtle in all things pertaining to Mensuration, among other things.

Overview

Andrealphus, like all the Goetial demons, was an angel that resided in Heaven though in terms of what choir he was part of is unknown. What is known during his time in Heaven was that he was part of Lucifer's order of angels, specifically ones that were tasked with create great pieces of music which would explain as to why Andrealphus' characteristics involve noises and sound.

After his fall from Heaven and Hell's establishment as an infernal kingdom, Andrealphus was appointed as a great Marquis of the Inferno. Like other great demons that lord over the musical choir in Hell, Andrealphus is part of said choir, having his own thirty legions of demons that would sing in accordance to his will and spread the glory of Lucifer or Satan's power across Hell.

It is also purported that that Andrealphus was conjured in the city of Venice by the Shepherd, the head of the Illuminati, to plant the seeds of disorder amongst the people and sow mistrust and hatred in order for the Four Horsemen to be properly 'fed' whilst they embark on their path towards one of the four towers of Babel that were stationed within the Four Corners of the World.
